Scott the Comedian

So my amazing husband was so amazingly kind last weekend and took my two boys and himself and took a vacay to vegas for his cousin Jared's homecoming. (Which was wonderful for me since I stayed at home and got some much neglected cleaning and redecorating done- not to mention alot of sleeping and movie watching...)(We're going again in 3 weeks for his sister, Katie's wedding and I wasn't thrilled about 3 vegas trips in 2 months...) Anyways- so Dan and the boys got home sunday night and Dan told me what a little comedian we have.

Scott overheard Katie joking about money and that she doesn't have any.
Well Scott piped in and said- "My mom is rich."
Katie- "Really?"
Scott- "Yeah- she has 50 dollars." (Apparently the ideal dollar amount to consider a person rich in a 3 year olds eyes!)
Joan (Scott's wealthy grandma)- "Am I rich?"
Scott- "No- but my dad is- he has 50 dollars too."

So apparently to our sweet son we are rich and noone else is! What a goof- it must be that extra special candy we splurge on at the end of every wal-mart run. Little does he know it's only 50 cents and the thought of earning it keeps him good and quiet the whole shopping trip. But I guess it earned us "rich" status in his eyes.


In another un-related incedent. Scott, being so preoccupied by his playing with friends at our neighbors house, forgot he had to drop the kids off- if you know what I mean- until it was too late. So there was an "incident" in the bathroom. I was at home and so Dan- flying solo- couldn't handle it and chucked the soiled undies in the trash- which happened to be a brand new pair of Lightning McQueen undies. Well this was just not tolerable for Scott. He was devestated...
I was working on a Young Womens project with one of my friends and Scott stormed into the room almost in tears and declared-
"I am so not Okay with my undies in the Trash!"
What a drama queen we have!

Anyways- I'm sure there will be more gems from scott as time goes by but those were two that came to mind...
