I love my life!!!

So I have been a terrible blogger! I just keep putting things off. But I'm really gonna try to be better!

So this morning my kids just really made me laugh. We had one of those crazy lazy nights where we played with the kids too much and when they were finally in bed we just kinda crashed on the couch and then went to bed. Some of the mess from dinner got left on the table which included some lettuce leafs from our lettuce wraps. So this morning Scott and Brock sat down at the table to wait for breakfast and I told them we were gonna have a race to pick up the leafs. Brock announced he would be "over the race". Which means he'd be the announcer guy.

Now Brock does this amazing deep sounding race announcer voice that seriously almost makes me pee my pants laughing! Its so cute! He's such a riot I tell ya!!! Just watch! (Sorry for the shaking- I was laughing SO hard!!)

Seriously- I need to record Brock talking more- he kinda has that cute little kid accent- and he uses really funny phrases regularly. Like "even so". He uses this in place of also. So he'll say "I love you mom, even so dad, and even so Scott, Kara and Molly." I love it. He thinks he can spell. He will say mom what does "R U A A R A" spell. And I'll try and sound out what ever he spelled. and he'll say "No- it spells a happy animal." and walk away with a straight face. He also thinks he can speak foreign languages! He'll say to me "Mom this is me talking in Sign Language" and then just babble nonsense words like "bla bla ti don go doo nus...." total straight faced The kid is a hoot and a half! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! Oh and he and Kara have been taking swimming lessons and last weekend at my moms he finally got over his uncoordinated fear of swimming and figured it out! He was like a fish! just back and forth and back and forth across the spa! (It's a big spa so there was in fact swimming involved!) I was so beamingly proud! I just couldn't stop smiling! And he and Kara get along pretty well lately. They love to wrestle and play together. They also fight alot over things they think belong to them but they color and play play doh and jump on the tramp and just do things together so blissfully sometimes that I just love the connection they have! But Brock wants to marry Kara when he grows up, he wants to be a power ranger and I personally hope he stays little longer- I thoroughly enjoy him now!

Kara is such a doll lately! I think 18 months to 3 1/2 years old is my favorite little kid age! Kara has become so sweet and fun! She loves to snuggle. She is so good at saying "Sank you mama!" (thank you) for everything! She LOVES Molly! (Poor molly!) Cuz Kara's love includes violently bouncing her in her bouncy seat or swinging her to the max of her swing! She totally does it all in love trying to make Molly smile! She's just so funny lately! She's TERRIFIED of bugs! She wouldn't get off the bench on our table yesterday because she thought she saw a bug in the windowsill. She was going "Ah ah ah ah ah a bug mama. ah ah ah ah a bug." The funny thing is she says this so dispassionately. Like she's just talking but a little breathy but she's totally freak out! She squeels instead of telling us whats wrong. *** Right now she squished herself into the computer chair next to me and is squeeling and saying between clenched teeth- "you're sqooshing me!" seriously- this child is so funny.**** Oh and her and Brock and Scott love to sing Beatles songs while we drive. The fan fave is usually Yellow Submarine. But she also loves All Together Now, Oh Bla De, and Hello Goodbye! I love when my kids love good music!!! She really knows most of the words to these songs! Oh and she is so brave- like I said she's been taking swimming lessons and at my mom's she totally got brave too! Not only would she go down the slide over and over and over all by herself and was fine with dunking under the water at the end- she would totally jump towards me, go under the water and kinda kick while in the spa. She hasn't got the kicking/moving part down but she's so not scared and totally thinks she can swim. I can't wait for their swim teacher to see them do it next week! I'm totally geeky mom proud!!! But Kara loves Princesses and loves to sing "I know you" from Sleeping Beauty and make any two random objects "dance" together. Like 2 dolphins or 2 puppets or 2 blocks. She is so funny when she plays with toys. We got new finger puppets and one is a ghost and she lined them all up on the ground one day and picked up one and the ghost and would say "Ah a ghost" in a really high quiet voice. She went down the line and did that with each finger puppet and the ghost! It was hilarious! Oh and she was playing with some princesses the other day and randomly put each one in time out- she has this great growly angry voice- and she'd say "Oh no- you in tiiimmme out!" It was too cute!!!

**Now Brock ran in and saw Kara not in the chair next to me and jumped in and although Kara WAS happily playing with a Wiggle singing book she's now in yelling tears on the ground and trying to pull Brock out of the chair. I'm just so cool everyone wants to be squooshed by my big bum in the computer chair!!! Hahaha.***

Scott is just getting so old! He'll be 7 in a few weeks!!!! He is such a good helper sometimes with the other kids! He's really great with Kara. He gets her out of bed now sometimes cuz he's big enough to hug her over the lowered bar and lean back until she slides over the bar and falls into his arms. He's a mother duck at the store for me and goes and brings back Kara when she runs away. He brings home all sorts of jokes and random facts. Like they've been learning about plants and he was telling me all about what the different parts of the plants do and stuff. He also reads so well! He's a June birthday so he's one of the youngest in his class and was slower to really pick up the reading thing but now he's one of the better readers in the class! He's one smart kid!!! Him and Brock stay up every night for hours just talking and making up games in their beds. They are really good at staying in their own beds they just make up these crazy worlds and stuff and just talk back and forth. On the one hand it drives me crazy because they stay up too late and are cranky the next day but on the other hand I LOVE it!!! I love that they are buddies and love to talk to each other and are friends! I love that they LOVE sharing a room. I LOVE having 2 boys that are close in age!

And oh my sweet Molly! She's become the total angel child!!! She is just so chill and sweet! She's smiling more and more every day at me! (and dan and the kids) she sleeps really well- like most nights she only wakes up once and eats and goes back to sleep! Most days she's content to just hang out and run errands and do tummy time and all with out a complaint! I just love this little bundle of joy that makes our family complete!!! She is such a blessing to me!!!!

Seriously- these children make me so happy. They also make me crazy some days but more happy than crazy most of the time :) I just love being a mom on days like this when the grind of the everyday hasn't gotten in the way of me realizing how much I love these little creatures I was blessed to have in my life! They come to earth with such amazingly individual personalities and senses of humor! I just love them each for who they are and what they bring into Dan's and my life!!!

And oh that Dan- I could go on for hours about what a good man he is. He provides for us, he does his church calling, he works hard, he's a nice guy, he's a super fun great dad, but most importantly he LOVES me unconditionally and he makes me laugh! He still loves meand truly thinks I'm beautiful, baby weight and love handles and all. He is so funny- he's always trying to get me to laugh and I love him for it! And he slow dances with me in the kitchen sometimes even when there's no music... *sigh* Oh how I love this man!
And he has an awesome family- I was at their house over the weekend and we were all laughing and joking about bra pockets and lost baby socks in Katie's bra and just laughing and laughing! and harry potter- I love them!!!!

And my fam- we all laugh and love and enjoy being around each other- no tension- no anger- it's rare (especially for having 8 kids in the fam) and I love it!!!!

Yeah- longest mushiest post ever! But I don't want to forget these precious things!!! They are what make life so precious!!!
