4th of July 2010

We played things really low key this year. No big fireworks, nothing exciting at all. We went over on the next street and did fireworks with some neighbors and it was just a nice peaceful 4th. We were right in between vacations, and just feeling a little tired of running around. The kids LOVED the fireworks! They always do!

So the first 5 pics are obviously super fun sparkler pictures! The kids LOVED these! I was surprised Kara was as brave as she was- she LOVED them! And thankfully, none of them got burned at all!

The next one is Dan watching fireworks with a lit punk in his mouth. Dan LOVES fireworks! He really really loves to set them off! I think he secretly wishes we lived somewhere where illegal fireworks were in fact legal...

The second from the bottom one is the face Kara had on most of the time noisy fireworks were going off. It's her "I skeewed" (scared) face. She would kinda shiver while doing this if they were really noisy! Most of the time she just ran around with the little neighbor boy Mitchell she's standing by. My little social butterfly already!

Then the last one is Dan and the boys lighting and throwing the crackle ball fireworks in our front yard earlier that day. He even let the boys hold the fireworks then throw them. They thought that was SUPER cool!! :)
