Things I'm thinking about today....

Tomorrow is my half marathon! EEK! 13.1 miles of running. I really want to beat my time from 2 years ago but I'm not nearly in as good of shape as I was 2 years ago. But this course is way more downhill and therefore geared towards fast times... But still just finishing it is a huge kudos in my mind!! I mean heck- I have a 6 month old! So yeah- that's one thing I keep thinking about....

Scott starts school on Tues. I'm in the minority that I'm not dying for that day to come! I'm excited to have a little more routine for Molly and Kara and for Brock to have some mental stimulation by way of preschool and for all the neat-o things Scott will learn but I love having all my kiddos at home!!! I love watching Brock and Scott play for hours! And Kara loves to just play in the vicinity of them... Not necessarily with them but just to be near them. Sure I get sick of playing mom/policeman/maid all day every day but really- it's a pretty good gig!

Kara has SUPER bad excema that has gotten REALLY bad in spots this summer... So we're trying this new hookie bookie hippie juice stuff a friend referred us to and swears that it'll cure it. We're only like 3 days in but I don't see any improvement yet. The thing is you have to make sure your kid is... um... emptying their waste fully every day which is something Kara has a little slow moving system... So I've been giving her stuff in her drinks to help that along but it's gotten spotty results so far. When you add in the fact that we're on like week 5 of trying to potty train this hot mess and it's something I'm constantly worrying about! This little lady has been by far my most difficult to potty train! She totally gets it but just... I dunno... forgets or something... And sometimes just doesn't even acknowlege that she's wet. And ALWAYS goes number 2 in her undies then dumps it in the potty and is super proud of herself because technically, the poo is in the potty! (Lucky for me her #2's are not messy... but like I said- I'm trying to help that so you can see how this is something occupying my mind today!!!) I just wanna say a big fat UGH!!!!!!

Molly, sweet as can be, refuses to sleep through the night!!!! She wakes up and won't go back to sleep for the LIFE OF HER unless she gets a bottle. Of course I recognize this is my own fault since I always let her fall asleep eating then lay her down. Yes bad mom! And yes I'm the one who created my current problem. OK- I own it! But now what! I lay her down awake for her naps and she falls asleep just fine with minimal fussing but at night she cries for a good 30=45 min before I break down and give her the flippin bottle so she'll sleep! HELP!! But to her credit she is an absolute ANGEL all day so I will take what I can get right now!

Anyways- so yeah- that's what is worrying me today... How bout you?! :)

I wish you the best in your run! You're awesome! I agree with you about school starting. Most everyone I know can't wait to get rid of their kids and I'm not feelin' it! I love having mine home too!
So sorry about the rash stuff and the poo!

Good luck with the running! That's such an awesome accomplishment. Oh, and talk to Aubrey Hill about the eczema. doTerra essential oils (which she sells) are amazing and have cleared up exzema for her friend Nicole completely. I don't remember which oil is best but she'll know. Good luck!

I have had potty training on my mind for about the same amount of time. Why is it so hard for them to figure out to poo in the toilet? Nelson is doing pretty good now - he only has an accident once a week and it is in his pull-up at nap time - but, seriously, just poo in the toilet!
I'm glad you have gotten back into running! Good luck tomorrow! You are a rock star!
