I felt so old going to my first Youth Conference as a leader. I remember going as a kid- it's so much more fun when you don't have to do all the work to make it happen. We had a good time though- even though we only had one young woman come! (the one in the pink shirt)
One of the activities at the rope course was a balance beam log thing 30 feet in the air that you climb up a tree to get to (it had giant staples to use to climb on) and then you walked the beam and then rappelled back down. I love rock climbing and rappelling I wouldn't let my preg belly stop me- the guide gave me to OK and I showed up all the boys that came. My dad would have been proud.
Nice butt shot of me coming back down! ;)
Anyways- this is our teeny goup. 2 guy leaders, 4 boys, 2 girl leaders and 1 girl. It was fun though.
Anyways- that was thurs afternoon, after that we went up the canyon and had a dutch oven dinner and played some games. (The food was good! Thanks dad for the recipes!!! mmmmmm) And had a fireside.
Than friday we went to Welfare Sq in SLC and did a service project and a tour, than lunch at the Lion house pantry, then toured temple square and the church history museum. I'd never been in the beehive house before, it was awesome! It's so huge and gorgeous! Then we saw the Joseph Smith movie (I bawled- it was good)
Then we went to a hotel and had a testimony meeting and pizza and swimming. Then saturday was Lagoon.
I think it turned out pretty good...
But ya- first big crazy planning event of the summer out of the way!

Way to go Nicole. You are much braver than me. I was sooo glad when I was pregnant with Cali and HAD to miss out on girl's camp.
I'll always have a soft spot for youth conference...that's where Tom and I met.
And YES, we will all be at 4th of DiMaya together again sometime soon. It's really not the same without you guys.
I'm so glad that everything turned out so well for you! It sounds like you had a great time. I can't believe that you were doing all that while prego.... oh wait, yes I can, it's you.
I know what you mean about feeling old. The youth here think that I am Soooo old now that I have a baby. It's crazy though... I don't feel old. :)
