Anyways- I posted a pic of me currently pregnant just like 2 posts down... But I love this one... it was when I was 36 weeks preg with Brock...

Also another game for the shower is for ladies to post their birth stories...
Here's the long story of my 2nd baby boy's birth...
At my 37 week appt on wed at 9:30 am and the doctor checked me to see if I was dialated and told me I was 4 cm and 90% effaced and my water bag was bulging but the baby was breech! After an ultrasound she confirmed the baby had both feet down and she was not going to send me home when I was so ready to pop. (if my water broke with the babies feet down the cord would likely come out first and that is SUPER life threatening to the baby so we really didn’t want my water to break!!) So she sent me straight over to the hospital so we could try to turn the baby head down and if he wouldn’t turn we’d do an emergency c-section and if he turned she’d break my water and induce right away so he didn’t flip back. So she said either way you're having the baby TODAY! I so wasn’t ready- didn’t have bags packed- I had thrown in some laundry expecting to be home in a few hours. So some quick phone calls to Dan and both our moms and tracked down a babysitter or two- Scott and I headed to the hospital at 10:30. (He was with me at my appt and so had to go with me to the hospital. And Annie came to help with scott and amanda’s husband Jeremy ended up babysitting scott at our house while we had the baby until my mom got there at 4:30) They hooked me up right away to an IV and antibiotics (I was GBS pos) Then the epidural guy came in within 45 min and gave me an epidural. (First since she was gonna try to push on my stomach on the baby to try and flip him and that’s supposed to REALLY hurt! And second because they really really thought my water would break and we’d do an emergency c-section) So anyways- this all happened by 11:30. At 12:00 the dr. showed up to try to flip the baby. Right before she started she confirmed with the nurse that the operating room was prepped and the anesthesiologist was ready and then they gave dan his operating room scrubs. (Needless to say I was so scared and it all happened so fast!) Anyways- after two pushes on my stomach the baby flipped head down and the dr. was thrilled and super excited and so they broke my water right away and told me that we had very narrowly avoided a c-section!!!! So they started me on pitocin by 12:30 and I was 5 cm at 1:00. At 2:00 I was still a 5 so they upped my pitocin. At 3:00 they checked me and I was 10 cm and ready to push- the dr. was there and ready 10 minutes later and we started pushing and brock was born at 3:18! (Again a super fast labor and delivery! Scott was 4 and ½ hours and this one was barely 3 hours!)
Anyways- check out that cute site and I'm sure we'll have another long story about the birth of baby number 3 within a month or so.

I remember hearing that story while I was visiting in Louisiana. I even told you not to have that baby while I was gone and then you call to tell me he was coming that day I couldn't believe it! I hope everything works out great with baby girl but she might not be so easy...girls like to do things their own way if you didn't already know that! :)
