Random Thoughts from Nicole...

So I have a few items I've been meaning to write about... And I'm finally getting around to posting them- so I'll put them all in one thread....

First point- Baby Girls are way harder than Baby Boys.
Why I know this already?
#1- I can't decide on a dang name for this poor child! It's just too hard!
#2- One word- Accessories! (I am not a girly girl but I am starting to love all the cute bows and tights and things that go along with girls but- hello- there is way too much stuff out there- it's overwhelming!)
#3- I'm way bigger with this lil rugrat and she's so far been my most difficult pregnancy...
#4- I'm already stressed out about having to do a girls hair. My hair is in a ponytail 2 out of 3 days. And I have no idea how to french braid.... My poor daughter is in for it...

This list will grow as time goes by I'm sure- and these are all silly reasons- but still...

Second point- (kinda goes along with point 1.)
Why are Baby Girl names sooooo hard to decide on?????
I'm down to two I think...

Mia
or
Kara

I'm totally undecided. But leaning towards Kara because Mia doesn't go as well with Scott and Brock to me..... But has way more nickname possibilities than Kara.... Grrrr.... I don't think this girl will have a definite name until we bring her home from the hospital! Any input is greatly appreciated.

Point the third...

I LOVE this commercial- That's all- I just love it!!!

So there's lots more random junk in my head but that's all for now- Brock's birthday is tomorrow and I'm off to stress about making a really cool tiered dino cake for him... wish me luck.

Nicole that is a hard one...Do you have middle names for them? That might help, because i like both Kara and Mia, but i have to say i think i like Mia better.

When is your due date?

oh honey, dont stress just have tons of fun with the fact that you CAN dress her up all fun! and don't feel bad about the french braiding thing, i have two girls and i STILL don't know how to french braid. you will find different stuff to do with her hair other than that. and i'm leaning tword kara.

I'm a big believer that you have to see your baby before you settle on a name. At least you have it narrowed down to two. Maybe you could use one for the first and the other for the middle? (Although Kara Mia sounds like something French...)

Both names are totally cute- My friend just had a Kara Jane-love it! And my other friend just had a Mia Valentina(she has some spanish:) Also so cute! What is the middle name going to be- that might be the deciding factor. I love girls! I am so glad I have one of each. Boys are the best too!

I love both the names as well. I dont think you can go wrong with either one, both are very feminine and will be cute as a little girl and beautiful as a grown woman. I think they both sounds good with the boys names too.

I absolutly love that commercial too! Don't worry about not having a name yet. Jeremy's sister Cori took 3 months after she got her first and 2 months after she got her second (she adopts) to come up with names. I'll teach you how to french braid.... tomorrow if you need me to (you too Anne). Plus you don't have to worry about the hair stuff for awhile, and what's wrong with pony-tails anyway? :)

I had and still have some of those same worries with Kalli! I don't know what I'll do w/ her hair...if she ever gets any. Thank goodness for Annie and her cute bows she makes!
I think I like the name Kara.
Tell Brock happy birthday and I hope the cake turns out nice!

Nicole,
You are the best mom I know!! Don't worry about the little things like french braiding her hair or even what her name is going to be. This little girl is so lucky to be coming to you!! That is all that matters.
PS.
I love that commercial!!! Sooooo Cute. Lets get Cole, Scott, and Karston to act it out. he he he

It's so funny that you stress about having a girl because I totally stress about having a boy! (And no, I'm NOT pregnant.) I'm sure she'll be a doll because you boys are so cute.

Hi Nicole, I'm Emily's friend that lives in Cedar. We met a long time ago when you were pregnant with Brock. Anyway, congrats on having a girl, it's awesome to have the best of both worlds! I like both your names. I love the name Mia when I hear it alone, but whenever I hear it with the last name, my ears play tricks on me. For example, if someone's last name is Jones and they say "Mia Jones" I hear them trying to say "I am a Jones" using really poor English (Me a Jones)! I know...WEIRD! I'm sure no one else has that problem! Anyway, I'm sure she'll be a doll--good luck!
