So last summer I did the engagements, bridals, and wedding pictures for the cutest couple who was a friend of a friend. It was probably a one time thing for me but I LOVED doing it! I was so proud of what I was able to create. The brides sister designed their invitation on my picture I took, so the words were on the dead space in this picture...
Now here's the flattering part...
I just got a call from the brides mom yesterday saying that a local photographer in Orem is using their invitation with my picture on it and her sisters graphic design skills as an example of the kind of invitation HE can create. He is not trying to pass it off as his work but he's still showing it. I guarantee he doesn't even know my name to let them know who the real genius is behind that amazingly amazing picture! I guess this guy has been doing photography for AGES and is super good and even teaches at the local college! And he's using my work to sell his stuff!!!!! I must be really good right?!?! Haha!! So I've been trying to get ahold of him to ask him how much I'm going to get paid for allowing him to use my work in his advertising but I haven't been able to track down a correct number yet but you know I will! Heehee!
But still- I'm totally flattered and it kinda made my day (and ticked me off at the same time).

Wow! Let me know how that phone conversation goes.
You've got talent!
Yeah, awesome, and maddening at the same time. You better get some royalties and advertisement off of that for sure!!
This is totally not boring {see previous post!} That's awesome that someone with so much experience loves your work!
I knew you do a good job!!! :)
You'd better get a hold of this guy. That's such a funny story, the kinds work he/you does/do. geez.

Nicole I totally have his phone number I even have his home phone number. Call me and I will give it to you!
That's awesome. I love the bold red. It's great with the turquoise.
I think I'd be pretty ticked too...but kind of flattered at the same time. Like imitation is the best flattery, but still annoying :)
Love the photos-I really wish that was something I had the talent to do!!
