The following pictures and stories have nothing to do with each other, except the fact that they all happened to my fam.... So please enjoy the following bunch of randomness....
Chapter 1: Chocoholics....
Dan got a big box of Sees candy from one of his buyers (yummos!) and the boys got into it before we could stop them- (Kids just don't appreciate good chocolate.... and therefore- it should be saved for me to get fat on!)
Chapter 2: Future Good Dads...
Scott LOVES Kara- he loves to hold her, feed her, look at her, talk to her, Anything!!! I snapped this pic of him feeding her a bottle- if you look really close you can see his lips are slightly curled up- He always says to Kara- "Hey you cutey cutey girl..." (Do I really talk like that?!)
Chapter 3: While Mom's Away...
Wednesday night I was gone at mutual- and I took Scott and Kara because Dan had scouts and Scott could just play at the church. So brock just played while the scouts were there. Dan put Brock in bed before I got home- the next morning I went to put on his clothes and this is what I found... apparently Brock had some "free time" while Dan was playing Halo 3 with his scouts! (If you can't tell- there is pen "art" all over his legs!) (It was all between his toes and all over the bottom of his feet- so he obviously had a good time with this one!)
Chapter 4: Cute Brothers...
Scott is always begging me to go out and play in the snow with him. So the other night we did. And then I went in when I got cold- and the boys just played....
and played...
And Played...
and just were cute brothers.....
Chapter 5: Santa Claus is coming to the fire.......?
In our town- the fire dept goes around one sat morning before Christmas and brings Santa around the neighborhood and the firemen run out and hand out candy canes to the kids that come outside... So here's the pic I snagged of our Santa on the fire truck this year!
Chapter 6: Poor Dan
So during the horribly short duck hunting season (it's only like 5 1/2 months or something!!!- note the heavy sarcasm)- Dan and Devin have to make good use of every available hunting moment (ie- every saturday). It seems that something happens every week to make them less helpful during the rest of the saturday. It's usually just tiredness- since they have to get up at like 3:30am to get out to the lake, set up the decoys and be fully frost bitten before the sun rises and they can start shooting. One saturday Dan pulled his butt muscle when he got stuck in some mud and had to have Devin pull him out... But this last saturday they decided to make it a "short trip" and just walk out onto the frozen lake and shoot from there. (Can you already see the problem brewing here?) Well you guessed it... Dan was standing on the ice and Dave walked up too close to him and Dave fell straight through the ice (the water is only like chest deep) and then Dan slipped and fell over as the ice bent in Dave's direction but Dan landed on his gun and it whacked him straight across his nose and cheek. Thakfully he didn't get double black eyes or a real broken nose (or have the gun go off and shoot someone) but Dan claims his face has never hurt so bad. (For those of you who have the privilage of knowing my dad's odd sense of humor- My dad would say to this- "Man your face hurts you?- it's killing me!"- HAHA) Anyways- Dan has been wincing everytime he laughs or one of the kids gets too close because his poor nose. So yeah- it was a GREAT excuse to get out of doing more house work and helping out around the house!!!! (I'm too nice of a wife) (Sat night he popped a pain pill and was the life of the party when we went to play games at a friends house!!! For those of you who have never seen dan on pain pills- you're missing out!) (Then that night he was up all night at his work cuz his alarm went off- different story though but pretty entertaining- but poor dan!)
Anyways- the poor guys came home empty handed and freezing cold... (all the boys in their sexy waders)
