Anyways=== My sweet little girl has been super sick for the past week and a half. Which is why I haven't been posting much because she wants to be held all the time. But seriously-this poor child couldn't have a many more issues. She's got a really stuffed up runny nose (which she gags on and barfs up 90% off most of her feedings), a really bad cough, constipation, clogged tear ducts, an ear infection and she doesn't tolerate any formula very well so she's got a stomach ache all the time. Is that not the saddest thing ever! We've tried everything the dr. said we could try to help her get over this and it's just taking it's time running it's course...
The nose is starting to clear up finally and I'm assuming the ear is probably better since she's been on antibiotics for almost a week. But still- she's been miserable for over a week and it's been so sad. She coughs so much she almost lost her voice for a while there and her little whimpers and cries were so sad with a hoarse little voice. Teeny babies shouldn't get sick- it's just too sad!
And like I mentioned- this kid is kinda allergic to every kind of formula on the market!! Even the really expensive nutramagin! (She has a milk protein allergy I think and they put a little milk product in the nutramagin so she gets sick off that too...) Soy is the best but it makes her really constipated and even juice and stuff don't help that much! She's just so high maintanence. : ) Dan thinks someone's trying to convince us it's our last kid because she's been such a hard baby.
Anyways- once we're all patched up I'll try to post more often.....

oh, so sad.:( but she sure is CUTE.:)
Oh, that poor sweet little baby! Is there anything I can to help your family?
so sad!! i hate to see babies sick. they are just too small to deal with being so sick. sorry you've had so hard during the holidays. hopefully she will be all better soon.
You're saying poor baby but I'm thinking poor mom! It's awful that's she's so sick and my heart goes out for lil' kara but I feel so bad for you too! Having a sick baby is no fun for anyone. At least she got a good nap in...or at least it looks that way!
there's nothing worse than a sick kid. it's miserable seeing them so sick.
She is sooo cute, I heard about another type of drink instead of milk and soy its called Rice Dream. I don't know the age requirements or very much about it. My cousin gives it to her little girl (20 months). Maybe its your answer.
Nicole--I'm so sorry that she's so sick!! Have you tried rubbing some Vicks on her chest to help with the coughing and congestion? I'm sure you've tried everything! If you need a humidifier let me know. Jacob seems to be allergic to formula too...I keep experimenting, trying to figure out what he can handle. Let me know if I can help...I can watch the boys while you get some rest with the baby!!

My cousins baby had a hard time with the formula and found out the goats milk helped her. I would have never thought of goats milk...i have heard of soy but not goats. Maybe it will work for you. She is still super cute
Okay Nicole, so no one thinks your a bad mom for sticking your baby on a pillow. Heck we have all done that when our kids are sick. You have got to prop them up so they can breath better. And besides she looks so dang cute sleeping on it with her mouth open. I love it! How are you holding up? I hope your getting rest! I wish I could help. What can I do? Kathren would not take any formula, so we put her on goats milk. It is super expensve, but it is supposed to be the next best thing to breast milk. Nasty! Kids with dairy allergies can usually handle goats milk. Good Luck and may the force be with you! sorry, but Star Wars has been on at my house for the past few days!
