I was taking pictures of Kara's braid this morning and Brock insisted I take this picture of him...
So yesterday as we were pulling into the dr.s parking lot brock looks up and says...
Brock: "Mom- I am just the bestest kid ever!"
Me: "And why is that?"
Brock: (be prepared for profound wisdom here....) "Because I have a different head than everyone else!"
Me: (Well I was speechless and had to spend a few minutes contemplating the logic behind his statement.... he's quite the thinker...)
So the night before the dr.s appt at the dinner table I mentioned to Dan that a lady he knew had lost her baby (she's like almost 50 and was pregnant with like her 9th kid and really sincerely wanted to have 12 kids... yeah...) Anyways- Scott picked up on that and asked what happened to the baby and so we explained that the baby was in her tummy but went back to live with heavenly father. Brock was busy hoovering his spaghetti so I didn't think he was paying attention but like I said- Brock's brain is not one to be taken for granted...
Fast forward to my dr.s appt= waiting room= Brock is talking rather loudly to a little girl at the toys=
Brock: (nonstop babbling to a 2 year old who probably didn't know how to talk yet) My names Brock, I'm 3. My birthday is in October. I'll be 4. My mom is getting a baby today. It's a new baby. (Ladies around the room glance at me and I'm obviously not ready to pop so women start chuckling) My little sister is Kara and my mom says she's silly just like me. (more chuckling) Our other baby went up to live with Heavenly Father so we're getting a new one. (Now the chuckling turns to sad glances over BabyTalk magazines.) (Then Brock keeps saying that over and over to this little mute child) My moms baby went to live with Heavenly Father and we are getting a new baby today.
Not wanting some random lady to come console me since I swear this chick sitting across from me was thinking about it- I corrected Brock that it wasn't our baby that went to live with heavenly father but daddy's friends baby. He sat for a minute and thought and then proceeded to tell the little girl the new corrected info.
But man I got some interesting looks in those 5 minutes... Brock and his mouth- I swear....
**And yes that would be 3 blog posts in one day all with pictures! Be proud- be very proud...**
