I got into photography because I wanted to take better pictures of my kids. And the more I get into it the more I realize how precious and critical it is to capture these moments with our little ones. They grow SO fast. My sweet baby (who almost isn't a baby anymore- she'll be one in 3 short weeks) is growing up before my eyes! And I'm not capturing nearly enough of it. Being behind the camera is hard on me because I want more pictures of me WITH my babies! So today I followed a grand idea by a gal I totally admire (Brooke Ashley) and broke out one of my Christmas presents (my tripod) and put it on the self timer mode (I really need a remote) and snapped some pictures of me and the bug. They are FAR from works of art but they are real. They are me and my baby. She snuggles with me. She plays with me. She loves to grab my face. And I love every single second of it! And I want to remember holding her. Because in the blink of an eye she'll be off running and I just want to remember when she still wanted me to hold her....
