Dan was Mario (obviously) I'm Princess Peach and Kara is a mushroom (aka toadstool).
Kara's costume an idea I got out of Family Fun magazine for the mushroom hat. It's just a little cowboy hat with a ton of bubble wrap and some felt! Then a little felt jumper I made and black felt eyes. (just white t-shirt and tights under it.)
Dan's was too easy- just clothes from his closet and gloves, mustache and plunger (each 2 bux) (plus a little felt to make the m on his hat)
For my costume- I owe a TON of credit to Jen K. who shared her sewing expertise and helped me make the puffy sleeves and helped sew on the cute pink part at the bottom!
This is us at the ward Trunk R Treat. Sorry I forgot to take pictures of the boys- I'll take some on Halloween. (The boys are Buzz Lightyear and a Red Power Ranger)

Super duper cute...except for that puckered dark pink part at the bottom...who the heck sewed that? ha. Still thinking about how I could have done it better. You guys look great!
