A bunch of pictures....

First a story of how odd little boys can be... So Brock being the younger brother sometimes will do things Scott does for no good reason other than that Scott did it. Case in point below. Scott decided it would be really funny to squirt himself in the eye with a water bottle. (Which is the greatest cheapest toy in the world right now for us- the boys will literally play outside for hours wandering around the back yard squirting things... but back to the story) So Scott closes his eye tightly and squirts as you can see in the first picture. And Scott laughs like a crazy person because apparently squirting yourself in the eye is the silliest and funnest thing in the world. I'm taking his word for it because frankly I have no desire to squirt myself in the eye. But Brock on the other hand tries it- why?- because Scott did apparently. But unlike Scott Brock didn't find it quite so fun... in both pictures he was telling me his eye hurts... Strange strange children....

Anyways- on to the ridiculously long picture parade....

This is just Scott on an old truck but the funny part of the story is that there was a dog behind Scott a good 300 yard plus tied back in someones yard behind a house barking on the end of it's chain. Scott was VERY concerned about this dog. He was worried that it was gonna break the chain and come get us. Hence the concerned face while sitting on the truck.... (He was watching the dog warily in the second picture...)

Dan's family has a cabin in Beaver, UT for those of you who didn't know and we go there all the time. They have this cool train in the back yard that they built or bought for being in the local 4th of July parade there...

Dan's studly sister Rachel taking the boys for a walk and chillin with Brock...

The job for the weekend was to clean up all the leaves from the fall... Scott really enjoyed it...

Dan giving Scott a ride while doing some chores... (Ya'll didn't know Dan was part farmer did ya! He's good with horses and cows as well as farm equipment... Just wait for the pictures from the cow branding in May...)

I just love the boys facial expressions in this one...

And Dan wanted a picture of Kara driving but she kept falling over so he never went over 25...

Then my family stopped by on the way back from conference (Please tell me someone else thought that one of the speakers looked like Dana Carvey doing a SNL skit?!?) Anyways- we ate some dinner and played a little Rock Band...

Even my dad got in on the action and tried to do the vocals to the Wheezer song even though he's never heard it... But Kara sure enjoyed being held by Pappy even though she may not look it in this shot...

And both Brock and my mom loved their snuggle time...

My brother Chris got a haircut and either didn't get or didn't appreciate the Dumb and Dumber joke...

When I was a kid we would always push my dad's car out of the driveway- (I didn't find out till years later that my dad was actually driving in reverse- I always pushed sooooo hard thinking my brother Doug and I were pushing his car all by ourselves.) Anyways- the boys have loved doing this when people come over and sometimes when Dan leaves....

What great pictures. I love the story with the water bottle. Too funny. The picture of the old truck with Scott on it is great. It makes for a really cool background.
I can't believe how big Kara is getting. She's so precious!

Those pictures are great! You're really good at taking them and catching "the moment" and not just pose-and-say-cheese type. I love them!

what a cool family! You are so lucky on both sides to have coolness in the genes!
p.s. we love squirt bottles over here too! It is amazing the hours of entertainment the kids get from these things!

Nicole and Dan, I loved reading and looking at the fun you are having. Thanks for the pictures of Grandpa. We have not seen him in awhile. I miss going to the cabin and enjoying the family.
