Brite Music!

So I grew up with music.  My mom had hundreds of cassette tapes we would listen to both in the car and as we fell asleep and anywhere in between.  My mom would take us to concerts at the library of fun kid bands.  (Yes- my mom was quite possibly the best mom that the world ever created!!!!  Which is probably a big part why I'm overindulgent of my  kiddos...)  But some of my favorite songs were from the Brite family of music sung by Janeen Brady.  They also sang the Safety Kids!  (Which as a side note- I was in a "musical" of sorts in elementary school where we copied these songs but sang "Say-No kids" instead= my school was probably too cheap to buy the rights to do the production but it was all the exact same music and stuff....)

So the other day I stumbled across the Brite website and they now sell their music online like iTunes.  So I bought a ton of their songs and my boys are in heaven.  My faves are "I have a song for you (animals and the seasons one)"  They are also the ones who have "I'm a VIP in my family"
.
Anyways- I know this is a super random post but I'm a huge fan and so are my kiddos....
OK here's the truth of the matter.  I'm a total kid at heart.  I'd rather watch cartoons and rock out to some kids songs with my kids than watch most adult movies or pay big bucks to go to a live concert...  I've always been that way.  My roommates in college would make fun of me because I'd wake up early on Saturdays to catch Saturday morning cartoons...  So yeah- that's me- I'm a weirdo...  I don't know what I'll do when my kids are grown up and I don't have any excuses to watch cartoons anymore....  Hopefully I'll have nieces and nephews to babysit or something...

I totally remember those songs! I forgot about them until your post. We loved those songs in our family. What a find! :)
