Happy 2010!

So we spent New Years Eve just home with the kiddos playing Wii sports and eating junk food. The kids were in bed by 8:30 and then I went to bed at 9:30. My how old I've gotten! Today Dan went duck hunting at 5 and the kids and I are finally going to take down the tree today and that's about it... Thrilling huh?

I have lots of random memories from New Year's past...

I've probably only gotten like 3 or 4 New Year's kisses since being married the past 8 years since we usually go to sleep long before midnight... yeah we're real party animals! haha

Other random memories....

I remember being at a New Year's Church Dance in high school and this boy I had kind of a crush on asked me to dance right after midnight and kept making jokes like he'd sniff his arm pit and say "Wow- I just remembered I haven't showered all year!"

I remember going out on the Strip in Vegas one year after midnight- at like 1 am or something and it was INSANE how THRASHED it was! Just trash and junk EVERYWHERE! There was even a palm tree on fire in the median thing.

And I did in fact meet Dan at a New Years party 8 years ago today! Jake Zobrist's New Years party to be exact. Good times back in Vegas!

Isn't it funny the things we remember.....
