This is really happening

You know how every so often some trivial thing happens and it's like in the movies where the main character looks up at the camera with wide eyes and the camera zooms in fast on their face and it's like this big ah-ha moment of them making some huge realization... (Like in all the Home Alone's where the mom realizes she's left Kevin.) That's what I felt like this morning. I was making my shopping list and remembered I needed to stock up on a few baby items. Like some new binkies and nursing pads and diapers and things like that and I looked back down at the word binkies and it just hit me like a ton of bricks- I'm having a baby. Like really having a new infant coming to live at our house very very soon! I mean it's not like I've been in denial or something- I obviously feel the giant belly and the small person kicking me from the inside. I've been washing baby clothes and nesting. But it's like I've been on auto pilot.

But this is REALLY happening... SOON! Like 2-3 weeks soon! Like around 20 days or less from now! Holy cow! Ready or not....... WOW!
