Last Saturday- I did the photography for a wedding for the first time. It was kinda scary but I got some good pictures...
My dad and brother were in town and we had a good time just hanging out with them.
Monday- I went to drop my brother off at Tennis camp at BYU and we get almost there and he realizes he left his tennis racket at my house. So we drove all the way back to my house to get it which made me late for my Visiting Teaching appt which just kinda threw my day off because I felt bad to have been late to my appt. But we all survived... Just a foreshadowing of how off our week would be...
Tuesday- I was taking a fast shower and Dan was down stairs with Brock, Scott was playing outside with friends, Kara was asleep. Brock came upstairs and was kinda talking to me. Dan thought I had got out of the shower and ran next door for a few minutes. Brock went back downstairs (I thought Dan was still home)
Next thing I know Scott comes running into the bathroom yelling "Brock's flushing some toys down the downstairs toilet HELP"
"Get your dad" I said back.
"He's gone- I can't find him" Scott yells back (He was very concerned for either the toys or the toilet- I'm not sure)
So I hop out of the shower (mom's never get a decent shower!) and throw on a towel and run downstairs. I can't see anything in the toilet and thank heavens it wasn't clogged and overflowing but Brock gave me his best- wide-eyed-oh-crap-I-know-I'm-in-trouble-now look. He got put in time out. And I got dressed.
Dan showed up a few minutes later and got quite the earful from me since I had no idea where he had disappeared to and his little boy was so naughty while he was missing in action!
Wed- (Scott used to suck his thumb- we found this miracle nail polish that tastes AWFUL! It works like a charm but man alive if you get some on you anywhere and accidentally touch your mouth or lip you will taste it and want to die for a couple hours!)
Anyways- somehow Brock found the aforementioned nail polish (I have NO idea how) and dumped some out on our coffee table while I was putting something away upstairs. (Seriously- I swear all my stories with Brock start out with I was upstairs for just 2 min- and I'm 100% serious- it takes all of 2 seconds for this child to get into mischief!) Anyways- I didn't know if he had eaten any and he started holding his tummy- gagging and scratching at his tounge and barfing. Since I couldn't tell if he was gagging just from the taste or if he had eaten some and was sick I called Poison Control- a first for me. The lady was kind of a punk but talked me through just watching to make sure he wasn't barfing just from barfing but more from the taste and had me give him slow sips of apple juice. She then called me back an hour later to check on him. Meanwhile- he had barfed on his clothes so I took those off. Then he barfed again all over himself and his diaper- and so I stripped him- put him in the sink to clean him off- then set him down to grab a towell and he starts giggling so I turn around to see him peeing all over the floor! Ugh- luckily it was just he taste of the junk that he was barfing from and he stopped after a few minutes... But seriously- peeing on my floor on top of the barfing (and the nail polish stripped the finish off our table- lovely)Thursday- We go swimming at the Legacy Center- right as we get out of the changing room to get in the pool they make everyone get out because apparently they make the water cycle with no one in it for 15 mintues every 2 hours or something to get out any crud that may get in the water. So we get in after the 15 min and have a grand old time but then like 45 min after we get in they make us all get out again because someone found poo in the water! EWW! So they closed the pool down for another hour and a half. Ugh- needless to say we bailed at that point...

Friday- Scott changes from his pj's into his clothes and before he gets his shirt on I notice he's COVERED in a HUGE rash. Like freaky huge. So I call the Dr. and he puts Scott on oral steroids and sends us home. But the rash keeps coming back. Poor guy...

Saturday- I ran the Lehi 5K this morning and finished in 29 min! Yay me- it was humbling though because the 4 people that were ahead of me the last stretch was an old man that was at least 65 seriously- a probably 10 year old boy and 7 year old girl. And a mom pushing 2 kids in a jogging stroller. It was awesome. I was prob somewhere in the middle of the 400+ people who raced so I feel great about even doing it and finishing but still- it was just classic to have those 4 people right in front of me!
The old man looked something like this but with a red hat on...Then we went fishing at Utah lake. Our neighbor Devin caught the only fish- a catfish which he threw back but the boys got a little fishing in. It wasn't super exciting but it was a first for Brock...

And poor Scott his rash just keeps coming back and we have no idea what's causing it- prob the poo in the pool at the Legacy center! Kinda kidding cuz I have no idea why he's so rashy.... I just hope the steroids kick in in the next day like they are supposed to cuz I just wanna cry for poor scott's rashes- he's been itching so hard he has scabbed over cuts all over his back from all the scratching. :(

And that's about it.

Oh my goodness. I feel so bad for you and Scott and the toilet and the coffee table. What a week. I hope Scott gets better.
Brock sounds like he truely is a handful, yikes! I might have to get the info on that nasty nailpolish. Jake isnt sucking his thumb, but he recently started randomly sucking his fingers. I just dont see any reason to get more germs into him then he already picks up....hope next week is better!
I am laughing in my chair right now, only because I can empathize with you about a crummy day! :)
I really hope Scott's rash went away Yuck about the poo in the pool, too.
What crazy times! I hope this week is better!
Love ya Nicole!
Your life is more exciting in one week than my life hardly ever gets!
