Scott's Birthday recap (the cake :)

Yeah I'm crafty- I made his name in pancakes for his birthday! He thought I was cool!

So I am apparently a glutton for punishment or something like that... I love to make these crazy birthday cakes for the birthdays in our family but they are so time consuming but I love it!

So for Scott's birthday he requested a Transformer cake. But lately I've been on a less is more kick so I didn't spend nearly as much time on this one as I have on others in the past... Anyways here's this years cake for scott... Again I didn't spend near as much time on the little details and making it look seamless but it was still pretty fun and I still probably spent at least 2 hours+ making it! And everything except the candle is totally edible! It's supposed to be Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in car form from the transformers movie...







So last year for Scott's birthday we had utter chaos! Like 20 kids running around swimming and crying and playing and laughing and it was total chaos! But fun I guess for Scott at least. So this year I seriously down sized and I let him invite just 4 friends this year. Scott chose to go bowling. It was so nice to have the party out of our house- not have to come up with activities for all the kids- and to have it small and controlable.





Then we came back to our house for cake and pizza. Again such a small group was nice....




And Dan's family came to town this weekend so Scott was super stoked #1 for them all to be here on his birthday but also for the present- a new Big Wheel! He loves it!!!!!
